Final Exam intro

1.) Summarize what you watched and read about - let's say 2-3 paragraphs of 3-4 sentences
This website used a lot of detail to showme how to do it. It gave very specific instructions in comparison to the very vague other one. For example it gave step by step instructions on how to make my video length a little shorted by using the trimming tool. This website was helpful with some things, but  there were still a lot of grey areas. 

With that trimming tool, i can cut out the middle of a video segment to. I can also extend or shorten an audio clip to however long I want it by using the tool. This will help to make sure I am not using any boring or un-needed clips. 
2.) Tell me one thing that you already knew about iMovie that the website explained
It is Apple's movie making software and it is pretty simple to use. 
3.) Tell me one thing that you learned new today that you didn’t know before.
How to use the trimming tool.
4.) What are you concerned about with this final project?
That i wont get good photos or clips

They layout of the whole movie.

Follow my friend on a soccer gameday.

On this site there were some very vague directions and they were a little confusing on what they were trying to teach me. However, after reading a little closer i was able to tell they were trying to teach me how to change my frame size at the beginning. 

They gave me some step by step instructions, but they were kinda hard to follow. I was ble to learn  that there are many different layouts and frame sizes. To do this you had to go to the menu and then choose layout and pick which one you want.

How to start and create my movie.

That there are different frame sizes for the movie.

Won't get good enough good photos.

Opinion Writing Part 2

Keep it broad and relatable
 3. List three suggestions the writer makes in the Personal Essays and Crafts section that you will use as you write.

  • don't use too many facts
  • make it relatable
  • start specific then broaden out. 

Opinion Piece: Soccer in the U.S. 
          With more children playing soccer in the US that ever before, it is no doubt that this great sport is growing. The most popular sport in the world is finally starting to receive the kind of recognition it deserves in America. 

         Soccer is now the second most popular sport behind basketball with teens ages 12-17. This statistic shows the most growth for the sport ad it the most significant. With more kids playing the great game, more adults are watching and following soccer. This is a big sign for the future in that soccer in the US will grow and possibly reach the relevance that it is in Europe. 

As a 11 year soccer veteran, I have played soccer for nearly my whole life. It has changed a great deal just in my lifetime. When I began playing in the fall of 2006 there was just one club in all of South/Central Austin; The club was AU Capital. The club grew in popularity and was eventually bought by Lonestar Soccer Club, the largest club in Austin now. By the time I had been playing for four years there were over 10 different clubs in the area, showing significant growth. 

With the support of the US Youth Soccer Association, children all over the county have a local team available to play on. Many large European clubs have also set up youth teams across the nation. 

Locally, the Liverpool Football Club has set up a youth team in western austin to develop young talent to potentially go to England and play in the First team.

Also the large growth of the American soccer league, known as Major League Soccer (MLS) has led to increased fan bases and TV viewership. The average attendance at a game across the league is over 24,000 and over 500,000 watch the games at home. 

These clubs also have developmental youth teams, which promotes increased talent and more American players in the future. 

Some say that the MLS will never be as good as other top leagues in Europe. They may say this because the league and is small and there is not a relegation or promotion like in England. However, this is unproven because the top leagues in Europe are over 100 years older than the MLS. In the Past ten years the league has doubled from 10 to 22 teams. 

Although the the league and sport are not as big as their counterparts in other countries, soccer will continue to grow. I believe that soon it will be common for people to be crowding into a giant stadium to watch a game full of Americans playing the game at the highest level.

Student Of the Month Story

Who- John Smith
What- Won the Student of the Month Award
When- This past week
Where- At Bowie High school
Why- Because of his good grades and positive contributions to the community
How- He was notified by the principal and was then was on the announcements.
Lead
         Freshman John Smith received Bowie's first "Student of the Month" award for positive influence on Wednesday.  Smith, who transferred to owie just two months ago has made a large impact on his fellow classmates and teachers. The office decided to begin this award to encourage stellar student behavior.
Nut Graf
Smith, a freshman, is the first winner of the new student of the month award. The award recognises the student with the most positive impact at Bowie in the last month. The fact of Smith being new this year is important in showing that it will be possible for any student to win the award.
Body
New year student John Smith was recently awarded Bowie's Student of the Month Award.
"John was chosen because this past month his grades have been exceptional, and his nonstop work with Bowie Buddies has impacted our Bowie community in a great way," Principal Susan Leos.

Smith is involved in many different activities at Bowie. "John has been the best president i could have asked for, especially for a freshman," Elizabeth Rogers, Key Club sponsor and teacher. Smith is also heavily involved in Soccer where he led his freshman JVB team to a district championship.
 Conclucion 
A new student will be chosen as the "student of the month" at the end of every month. The winner of the award is chosen by a panel of teachers and administrators from all the grades. The head of the panel principal, Susan Leos.

Nut Graf

A n"Nut Graf" or otherwise know as a "nut paragraph" or "nutshell paragraph" is usually the second paragraph in a journalistic writing. It, in a nutshell,(haha funny....) is a paragraph describing the important of the story, like why it is in the news.

The Nut Graf is important because it also tends to shed light on more background information which gives the reader a more full idea of the story. It will often describe the effect or causes the story has on other things and generally reports the importance of the topic.

This is a big honor for me to win this award and I am very proud of it

winning this award has caused my teachers to sho more respect and give me more responsibility

My friends have treated me the same after the award.

I think I won because this past month I did very well in all my classes and helped a lot of people.

I think my math teacher nominated me

because she likes me alot and I am a good student in her class

I am a kind caring and intelligent student

Yes because i was very good

I was very excited when I won

No it was pretty unexpected

No, they were all pretty happy for me

Not really people have been congratulating me all day.

I would pick John because I saw him tutoring a lot of people in the mornings
